October 2001, EURESCO conference: 'Social Capital Interdisciplinary Perspectives'. Dr Mel Evans attended the conference and gave a paper "Social Capital in the Social Economy, The Growth Dynamic of the Third System"

7th EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON THE SOCIAL ECONOMY - GAVLE, SWEDEN, JUNE 2001

CONSCISE presented an overview of the project deliverables so far and the initial findings of some of the Local Socio-Economic Profiles at the 7th European Conference on the Social Economy, Sweden -  June 2001.

CONSCISE Co-ordinator Dr Mel Evans presented a paper to the parallel ICA (International Co-operative Alliance) research conference taking place in Gavle at the same time, on "The Role of Social capital in the Social Economy"

In the same session Karl Birkhoelzer also spoke about the "Third System as Innovative Force"
Social Ekonomi ran an article to co-incide with the conference Social Capital and the Social Economy in Europe: The Work of the CONSCISE Project." written by Dr Mel Evans.
